RUNA FAE --- DINAH
Face actor/actress: Juno Temple
Name: Runa Fae
Meaning: Faerie rune
Nickname(s): None (yet!)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Preference: Bi-sexual
Physical Appearances: Runa is not a tall girl, standing at a mere five foot three (give or take some fractions), and she is very slight with it. There does not seem to be a huge deal of shape about her, though do not mistake her for being weak. Beneath her pale skin is an awful lot of muscle. Runa keeps herself almost constantly active, and so has the quiet strength of an athlete. There is virtually no fat on her bones, just taut muscle.
She has an oval-shaped face, with a softly defined jawline and cheekbones. Her brows are perhaps a little thicker than most women would choose, but are neatly plucked. Her nose, too, could be said to be a little larger than most would think attractive, and occasionally it appears that her nostrils are a bit too flared-out. Nonetheless, Runa gives out the appearance of being an angelic, innocent girl. Depending on her make-up choice of the day, the young woman can be utterly child-like and adorable, or a bit dangerous.
Runa's hair is something of a centre-piece for her. Naturally curly to the point of frizzy, she likes to tease it out and make it seem even more full-bodied than it already is. A dark, golden blonde by nature, she often bleaches it to white, sometimes straightening it out into gentle waves or spikes.
Piercings: One in each earlobe.
Tattoos: A fairy on her ankle, and a crescent moon on her left hip.
Other distinguishing features:
Clothing Style: Runa is a very eclectic dresser. It could be argued she has no sense of fashion, but it cannot be said she has no sense of style. She might not be wearing something that is fashionable or even particularly interesting, but somehow she manages to pull it off and make it look pretty darn good on her indeed. She enjoys wearing cute-looking clothing, with ruffles and lace, as well as bright colours which almost clash. Runa also loves to wear vintage-style clothing, and has quite the collection of shirts, dresses and skirts which she whips out at any given opportunity. Jeans and simple, comfortable t-shirts also fill her wardrobe (and the back of her chairs, and the end of her bed...), in various colours. Runa does not believe in sacrificing comfort for her own little brand of fashion.
In rehearsals, she is likely to be found wearing leggins in a thoroughly bright colour, topped with leg-warmers (again, nice and bright. And probabaly clashing with the leggings), and a short-sleeved t-shirt.

Strengths:
- The Cute Factor - Runa really is adorable; not just in looks but in personality. She is warm and understanding, and always there for her friends. She has the uncanny ability to make most people want to squeal and hug her.
- Experience - Coming from a family of performers, Runa is no stranger to treading the boards. Having been in theatre since practically before she could walk, she has gained a lot of insight and knowledge of the world of performing arts, and she has no hesitation in sharing this if she thinks it would assist others. It also gives her a good heads-up in how difficult her current role is likely to be.
- Resiliant - Runa has the immune system of the gods. At the very least, she has a spectacularly good one. It is a rare thing for the young woman to get sick, and when she does she still manages to be up and about. She also manages to bounce back very easily from injuries, almost as though she were made of rubber. This has been a pretty handy thing for her in the past.
Weaknesses:
- Special snowflake - Runa isn't stupid, per se, she's just a bit...dense. Things which would be totally logical for another person to grasp seem to completely lose her.
- Frustrating - Partly due to her dense-ness, and partly due to the fact that she always seems to be on-the-go, Runa can often get quite frustrating to other people.
- Very easily distracted - Runa has a habit of getting distracted midway through doing something, and just sort of...wandering off. Luckily she does not do this during rehearsals - her mind is utterly focused on her work - but in day-to-day life she does it very frequently. Which can be problematic when she is trying to get somewhere.
- Children - Although she is currently unsure if she wants any of her own, Runa absolutely adores children. She loves to play with them, chat with them, you name it. She has such a soft spot for them, and cannot help but shower them with affection.
Fears:
- Hair loss - She bleaches her hair out so much that Runa is genuinely terrified that one day it will all fall out and leave her bald.
- Serious injury - Though she has bounced back from every injury that she has sustained in the past, Runa is petrified that one day she will be injured to such a degree she cannot heal.
- Thunderstorms - Runa knows this is an utterly irrational fear, but she cannot shake her childhood fear of thunderstorms.
Personality: It could very easily be argued that Runa's personality mirrors, in part, that of her role within Starlight Express. Like Dinah, she is loving, forgiving, and a little on the dense side. She is very loyal to her friends and those she loves. Unlike Dinah, however, it is a thoroughly bad idea to get Runa mad. It takes a lot to do it, but when she has lost her temper the young woman is nigh-on-terrifying. She has little control over herself when her temper is completely shot, and she will say and/or do whatever she can to make the offending person realise what they have done (be it hurt her, her friends, her family, a kid, etc) was a bad idea.
On the contrast to her explosively nasty temper, Runa is generally viewed as being a bright and bubbly young lady. She is always ready with a smile and kind word to say to everyone. She is always thinking up new things to do, and is never still. Very active, Runa enjoys pushing herself to her physical limits, and loves to share these moments with her friends. Do not be surprised if she hauls you off to go rock-climbing somewhere, just because she can.
Another contrast to this always-moving-and-very-hyperactive side to her personality is Runa's penchant for falling in 'love'. She does this very often, and very hard. She has got herself more than just a little bit hurt in the past, and one would really think she had learned her lesson. Of course, she hasn't, and doesn't, and so constantly falls for the next person she sees that has 'something about them'. A helpless romantic, she is really just waiting for her gentle knight in shining armour to come and sweep her off her feet.
Runa loves her family a great deal, and she treats her friends very much like her family. Once she has 'claimed' you as her friend, Runa will always be there for you, no ifs, buts or maybes. She will stand beside you no matter what.

Background: Theatre and performing has been a part of Runa's life since pretty much the moment she was born. Her father is a professional actor working mostly out of the West End, though also in the odd TV show as well. Her elder sister Adele was already enrolled in dance school when Runa was born, and was showing great talent in the field. As she grew, Runa chose to follow in these footsteps, and she too took dance lessons. Whilst she was very good, she did not even begin to match up with her sister, and so she turned her attentions elsewhere. Namely to singing and acting. The family grew, each member helping the other with their chosen path. Runa's younger twin siblings, Lhuisa and Aidan, did not wish to follow the performing side, but were quickly snapped up by talent scouts as models, whereas her youngest brother Loukian followed in her footsteps and trained in musical theatre.
It has not been an easy ride for Runa; she has been turned down by many different shows in the past. She has tried not to let it get to her, but occasionally it does. However, with the support of her family behind her, Runa continued to audition for musical after musical, gaining chorus roles in Chess, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying to name a few. She managed to play a few leading roles in the shows as understudy, but until Starlight Express had never been given the chance to play one as first-cast.
